Diorama is a 3D Art Service Studio focused on creating high-end art for blockbuster video games made by some of the largest publishers in the world.

We seek an artist with a strong artistic vision, attention to detail, and a passion for creating immersive and realistic 3D models. While we value your love for gaming, we also place a high premium on your technical skills. REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 3-5 years of experience as a 3D Artist;
  • Ability to create realistic 3D models;
  • A solid foundation in 3D fundamentals;
  • Understanding of form, structure, balance, and silhouette;
  • Ability to work within polygon constraints while maintaining high visual quality;
  • Knowledge of realistic texturing using Substance Painter;
  • Familiarity with current pipelines and methodologies in the gaming industry;
  • Modeling skills in Maya, Blender, ZBrush, or similar software;
  • Ability to create high-quality Highpoly, Low Poly, UV, bake, and texture models;
  • Knowledge of topology for games and its relationship to deformations for animation;
  • Ability to create and texture 3D models from an image or description;
  • Passion for learning new processes and techniques;
  • Good English skills for communication;
  • Open to feedback and able to accept constructive criticism;
  • A team player with excellent interpersonal skills;
  • A responsible, proactive, and helpful person.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain confidentiality and protect the intellectual property of projects, ensuring the security and integrity of data and work files;
  • Create a variety of prop models for environments, weapons, hard surfaces, and inorganic materials;
  • Create, reproduce, and texturize three-dimensional elements for games, following the guidance of documentation and more experienced artists;
  • Ensure that the 3D models created meet the technical and artistic specifications of the projects, including the creation of objects, props, and hard surfaces with excellent technical and artistic quality;
  • Participate in reviews and feedback with the team, incorporating changes and revisions according to the feedback received;
  • Optimize models for better real-time performance in games, considering technical requirements such as polygon efficiency, textures, and other elements;
  • Meet the deadlines established for deliveries, ensuring that activities are within the project schedule;
  • Maintain a high level of technical and creative skill, keeping up to date with modern trends and techniques of 3D modeling for games;
  • Model and texturize assets: high and low poly versions;
  • Create high-quality textures in Substance and Photoshop;
  • Work within the technical limitations of a variety of game engines;
  • Ensure that the required artistic style of a project is maintained;
  • Collaborate with teammates to streamline the art creation process;
  • Plan and schedule tasks in conjunction with their lead when necessary;
  • Communicate work progress to peers, clients, and leads;
  • Provide self-assessment and create improvement plans for their performance.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS

  • Knowledge of Unreal Engine 5, Marvelous Designer;
  • Experience in AAA titles.
